Roadhouse Heroes

Most people see a petrol station. We wanted them to see the person running it. For Q8, we developed a recruitment campaign aimed at future station operators across Belgium and Luxembourg. Entrepreneurs who lead teams, solve problems, embrace technology and keep everything running smoothly. The role demands an uncommon mix of skills and responsibilities.

Roadhouse Heroes positions station operators as the capable, hands-on people who keep everything moving behind the scenes.

Captains of their own operation

Behind every station is someone juggling dozens of roles. Team leader. Business owner. Problem solver. Welcoming host. They manage operations, embrace new technologies and create places where customers feel welcome, stay a little longer and keep coming back.

More responsibility than most people imagine. But also more variety than most jobs offer.

Building suspense

The campaign extended into film through a tongue-in-cheek action movie format. Short clues and dramatic cues gradually reveal the many responsibilities hidden behind the role. Each one builds anticipation as if preparing for a high-stakes mission. Until the final twist: This isn’t an action hero. It’s a proud Q8 station captain.

Beyond the screen

The campaign was designed to work wherever future operators meet the brand.

Recruitment fairs, information sessions and promotional materials helped bring the Roadhouse Heroes story into the real world.

“Working with the team was a highly positive experience, built on creativity, professionalism and a real willingness to think along with us. The strong visual approach consistently made the difference, resulting in work of exceptional quality that we are genuinely proud of.”
